Nursing

Flinders Reproductive Medicine is a purpose built specialist area located within Flinders Medical Centre which is unique in providing a theatre and recovery suite for day procedures as an integral part of the Unit. Nursing staff experienced in infertility issues provide continuity of care from initial consultation through all aspects of investigation and treatment.

We provide personalised care in the following areas:

Enquiries and Appointments

Nursing staff are available to assist with general enquiries and to arrange appointments on request.

Patient Care

Nurses are responsible for the co-ordination of treatment and patient care on a one to one daily basis.

Information and Education

Preparation for treatment includes individual nursing information sessions to ensure the couple/person has an understanding of the medical procedures, risk factors, likely outcomes and the stresses associated with treatment.

Support

Our nursing team provides support and encouragement to couples, recognising the importance of each person's quest to have a family.
